I am not nervous, just have a lot of people to get back east. Leaving a week from tomorrow with Mom and her sister 88 and 87 respectivly. Going to New Orleans first to visit their sister..then drive to Florida. then hooking up with Husband, daughter, her guest, and friend who arrive on the same flight from the west. two cars 8 people and another 2 hour drive.
Making sure I do not forget, clothes, etc....

The great news is that on Friday morning, my business trip this week was cancelled..so I am home based all week...That was huge for me . Yep you guessed it I was going to be in Florida all week. getting home Friday morining, just to turn around and leave again on Tuesday... So now I have the luxury of emailing you. I wish you well my friend.

Dear Annette. Hard to beleive it is the middle of October already. Here is an update from Southern CA. You may remember that one of my goals was to contunue to keep my weight down from 90 day LGNC in 2008. The reason mostly was because there were weddings in the month of October and I wanted to look my best. Well last Saturday my step son got married and all was well, I had not gained any weight, so all was right in my world. On the 31st, my son is being married and I still fit into the dress I bought 3 months ago. That's a big Yahoo...I am still 90% ED friendly and I workout mostly in my mind. As you may remember I hate excercising, and I have no logical excuse or reason for it. I am still traveling 3 weeks out of every month, with no end in sight. However I do have a job and for that I am greatful. I am in good health, but need to force myself back into a workout program. If someone isn't pushing me I just don't do it.
That's about all, it's great to hear from all of you and I continue to wish you the best.

Hey Annette! I was finally starting to feel "normal" and now there's a national shortage of the thyroid med. I am taking! How's that for a kick in the pants? It won't be available again for another couple of months! I had a follow up w. my doc yesterday and my levels were good .. finally! It figures, doesn't it? Anyhoo, I haven't really gotten back ON the wagon yet. I didn't plan well last week and paid the price. It's just different during the school year. Plus work is nutty, too, and I'm at war with some sort of sinus mess. I really am going to make extra effort after the Labor Day holiday. I am very apprehensive and anxious about how I'm going to be feeling when I run out of my prescription on Sunday. I am taking a supplement that was recommended by my doctor. However I don't think any of their patients has taken it as a thyroid med before. I am keeping my fingers crossed and I have given my husband and co-workers fair warning that I might not be up to snuff, and possibly really difficult to be around. On the other hand, this supplement might be the bees knees. I pray that is the case.

How are you doing? Is your heavy lifting plan working out? It is good to hear from you! Have you heard/seen any results from our LGNC other than what's been posted here? I hope it's all good with you!

Hey Annette! im great... Not doing uch lately because iwas so busy with my jewlry, bak to school things and being alone with the kids. My hsband was out of town. HE was in St-Louis for work. I made 23 jewelry so he could sell them to his coworkers. He sold 10 of them. More than 250$. A lady bring the rest with her so she can sell them to the others them in Atlanta and in Europe. She find my jewelry well made and very professional. She also told me that i dont ask enough for my jewelry. She is buying a lot of accessories jewelry adn she paid more than she paid for mine and they are, as Yvette said, much better build than the one she bought in store. Anyway, i was a little bit disapointed because i was expecting to sell them all. But my hsband told me that only three women saw them. So its very good.

I will have to produce more. My husband is building my website so i could sell my jewelry online. I would have like to put the pictures of the unsold jewelry on this website so you could choose something. But they are all gone with Yvette. Il try to figure out something.

Im followinf the south beach diet right now. Ive lost 3 pounds. Im doing great.

Thank y for wondering how i was.

Hey Annette! I have to say that truthfully it feels like a bit of a let down to be finished with the LGNC. I didn't accomplish as much as I would have liked and this past week has been mediocre at best. I feel like we missed out on the best of Dax with him being on vacation the last few weeks of our challenge. I kept getting the feeling the emails had been written for another LGNC group and we got the leftovers. I don't feel like I was coached at all the past month. Could I have given a bit more effort? I suppose but I don't know what kind of shape I'd be in - wired and rocking in the fetal position perhaps! Tis done! I'm like you though, toward the end the workouts were just too much. Even if I didn't have the thyroid/adrenal issues, I'm not sure I could handle two intense workouts a day followed by interval cardio. Do I really WANT to handle it even? I'm glad I can officially take a step back and regroup. I may take Dax's advice and just start again on the LGNC - maybe even go farther back than Day 70, start again clean on the ED and see where I am in a few months. I am going to have to rethink goals. What about you? Aren't you pretty much where you want to be now? What's your next plan of attack??

Thanks for that link, Annette! Very informative! I did tend to avoid things like raw cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower but I won't anymore. The last time I checked my iodine levels were fine.

Hey Annette! I see my doc Thursday for blood test results. I have been doing 1 workout a day. Absolutely not doing the accumulator or meltdown circuits. I noticed I was faring pretty well until those were introduced. So I'm just substituting IMT and DBM when those are scheduled. Also just because of time constraints I haven't been doing as many sets. It seems everything in my life is getting busier at the same time. I guess it's that time of year. But I was so enjoying the leisurely pace of the summer! To everything turn, turn, turn ...

Thank you. I am humbled that my ramblings bring some measure of encouragement to others. I notice however that you have been such a strong supporter of all who enter this site. You too are aprreciated.

As for after the LGN 90 days, it is really hard to stay focused...be prepared for a bit of a letdown...You are glad when day 90 rolls around, but at the same time a bit scared because now there is no one pushing you. It's really quite strange...it has now happened to me twice and I should have known.. anyway you are right, the food thing is here to stay, but workouts? Oh lordy how I hate them. Have a terrific weekend my friend.

Hm, not sure about the "I wonder?!" I only got the PC done and only half-way through the DBM at 9:30 last night before I was just plain too tired and muscle fatigued to complete the workout. Sorry I couldn't answer your call for the kick in the rear last night! : ) I am down 1 lb. this morning!

LOL! Yes I saw Wendy's posting about the juice/seeds ... more power to her!! I've decided to keep blending and forget about the juicing. I just don't see myself utilizing it that much. I have yet to try fasting and have minimally done the carb waving, so I still have a couple of tricks that could work for me. Managed my 2nd workout yesterday but nothing today. I had to go register my daughter for school on my lunch hour - they start Aug. 11! I am going to squeeze both of them in sometime today, though!

I wonder

Thanks for the kick in the pants, Annette! I knew if anyone took me up on that offer it would be you! ; ) I did as much of the accumulator as possible on my lunch break - had to do 7 reps instead of 10. Took a break around the back stepping lunges and did 10 reps of the remaining movements so I could get a little dose of all of them! : ) Monday - workout #1 (modified) ... CHECK!

Hi Annette,
I know quite a few are on vacation, but that said I'm not sure what happened. It was a 30 day challenge, so maybe that was it for some people. I would really like to see the results of the others. I think about 5 of us (?) posted pics and testimonials, if the others did, I can't seem to find out where. I know we were supposed to do something with youtube-can't see them there either. I hope that isn't the end. I really hope we can keep this going. It has been a great group.
I did the accumulator yesterday and can see why Dax says it's his hardest workout. My legs were still burning in the pm.
I didn't do my fast today as my brother ended up visiting unexpectedly and wanted to get together for breakfast. I'll try again tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your support. Gourmet food, mmm, talk about living with temptation all around you. Good for you!

I am in a recovery mode.. Last week I was at a client site with a team of people putting on what we call a "Proof of Concept" of our software they are considering buying. This was a huge deal and we arrived last Sunday night and I did not get home until Fiday night around 7 pm. I lived only 90 mile away and drove.. Everyone else on the team had to fly either Friday night or Sat morning. I managed to get maybe 1 workout in and that's about it. I usually did PC since it did not require any additional equipment... Stress and walking in High Heels for the entire week was my new meltdown... my legs still feel the burn. Anyway... I am actually home all week, and will get back on the horse.

I remember the accumulator from last time and ironically I actually did well with it...go figure...I like it better than I liked the pyramid that Dax had us do..not sure if I am allowed to tell you what it is as it was for 30 in 30... but the jist is there are a serious of movements and reps first level is 6 things and reps might be 2-4. 2nd level same but 4-6 3rd same 5-10 etc...till you got up to level 5 with 8-20 reps... then you go back down the pyramid and get this all done in 20 min.... I never made it past up to level 5...some got up and down...not sure how they did it... anyway... I will get my act together...and today I have a bunch of stuff to catch up on.. so have a great rest of Sunday, and thanks for checking in on me.

Hi Annette,
I am staying ED friendly, although I did take a break from the carb wave and fasts this week. Going to start with a fast on Monday and then possibly Thursday next week. Workouts have been going well. I haven't tried the accumulator yet. Probably for tomorrow morning. I went swimming with the kids today and that was a nice change of pace and slated for meltdown tonight.
I've felt a bit let down that I didn't get any reaction on the 30 group to my photos. I noticed a difference, but I know everybody must be scrambling to get their pics and videos together. Sa la vie. Thanks for your ongoing encouragment. I'm sorry you've had some circumstances that have made the exercise and diet difficult. I guess looking at it as a long term lifestyle change is the best way. That way the little bumps in our path don't seem that daunting. Best wishes to you next week.
