Day 16 (July 7, 2009) of the Challenge!
Today I feel good but exhausted. I woke up around 6:30 am and did my first workout. I did good time-wise but fell a little short for the goal I set myself for this morning.
After my workout, I did a little bit of stretching. I was running out of time so no Yoga or visualization.
I walked to work today (2 miles in 40 minutes using intervals). Shaved 5 minutes of my normal time so I am ecstatic.
I had breakfast around 8:30 am. For breakfast I had my usual - egg and veggie scramble, 2 tablespoons of organic key lime salsa (yummy) 1 cup of veggie broth and 1 cup of hot water with lemon. Like I said guys, I like to try and keep it simple and routine during the week. It saves me time.
I am still playing catch up at work but everything is going good. I am glad that the boss man is on vacation in New England for the summer. Still drives us nuts over the phone but better over the phone than having him stare at me and interrupting me a hundred times a day here!! I love him but my God, sometimes it’s like having an 80 year old son!
Around 12:00 I took care of workout no. 2 at the gym. Met my goals but my body is feeling a little weird. It’s probably due to the fact that my TOTM is due for an appearance on Sunday. I hope not though as that is the day of the show and it would suck.
Afterwards I had lunch which was my usual small green salad (Boston lettuce, watercress, spinach, baby bella mushrooms, shallots, vinegar, EVOO, sea salt and pepper), a cup of veggie soup (broth) and 1 grilled Mediterranean turkey burger.
Work was great today, the way I like it, busy, busy, and busy.
I left work at around 5:00 pm. Got home, took a 20 minute nap. Woke up and took care of workout #3 and afterwards warmed up dinner. The guys had leftover mac and cheese with chili ground beef mixed in with iceberg lettuce wedge and blue cheese dressing. I had a grilled chicken breast (marinated in mojo - Cuban citrus/garlic sauce) with 1 cup of veggie broth and 2 cups of mixed veggies - cauliflower, squash, broccoli.
After dinner, I rehearsed at home for the bellydancing number. Afterwards, a little yoga, stretching, and a shower. After my shower, I soaked in a hot tub for 20 minutes with a little bit of epsom salt, baking soda, sandalwood essential oil. Man was that relaxing. I went to bed at 10:20. So much for trying to get to bed earlier.
I had 4 liters of water today.
16th day down and 14 to go.
