Day 15 (July 6, 2009) of the Challenge!

Today I feel wonderful. I woke up around 5:30 am and did my workout. It was great. I can’t say it enough. I don’t understand how a workout can be short, intense and simple but yet hard as hell and leave you feeling and breathing as if you just finished an hour. I tell you, I am not a bodybuilder but no matter what anyone says, if you don’t give your workout, any workout, your 110% with proper form of course all the way through, then you are wasting your time. Dax Moy, I thank your mother for bringing you to the world and I thank God for being able to call you friend, mentor, inspiration and trainer. Although the last one should be more of a drill sergeant. :-)

After my workout, I did a little bit of yoga and stretches (I love that part) and (drum roll please) visualization and affirmation. Yes, guys it maybe a little too new agie for some of you but it really does help with the motivation factor.

I caught a ride for work. I had breakfast around 8:30 am (thank God for my job - I can do so much at work that most places wouldn’t allow their employees to do). For breakfast I had egg and veggie scramble, 2 tablespoons of organic key lime salsa (yummy) 1 cup of veggie broth and 1 cup of hot water with lemon. Yeah, yeah, I know boring to some people but hey very yummy!

As it is a Monday morning after a long weekend for us here in the states, I had a huge mega load of reports, to transcribe, edit, format, and deliver along with specs, drawings, and contracts!! Yay!! That’s life in the yacht surveying/consulting business. It’s great that we are still this busy.

Around 12:00 I took care of workout no. 2 at the gym. The guys there actually started grilling me to make sure I didn’t slack. They even asked to see my notes. It seems they’ve been watching me a little too closely. They know I write every little tiny thing down. I pass the grade. They were very proud and glad that I didn’t stray.

Afterwards I had lunch which was my usual small green salad (boston lettuce, watercress, spinach, baby bella mushrooms, shallots, vinegar, EVOO, seasalt and pepper), a cup of veggie soup (broth) and 1 grilled chicken breast.

Like I said, work was great. The way I like it, busy, mildly stressful (nothing I can’t handle) and everything was sorted out, delegated and done.

I left work at around 5:00 pm. Got home, took a 20 minute nap. I don’t care what anyone says, I really love this part. I took care of workout #3 and afterwards, I prepared dinner. Mac and cheese with chili ground beef mixed in with iceberg lettuce wedge and blue cheese dressing. Chill guys, I didn’t eat any of it. It was the guys. I had a Mediterranean turkey burger (home made of course and grilled) with 1 cup of veggie broth.

After dinner, I had to run to rehearsal for bhangra. I was running a little late. It ran for 3 hours (7:30 - 10:30 pm). I know Dax but the show is this Sunday coming. I had to.

As soon as I got home, it was a cold shower and straight to bed. I was exhausted.

I had 4 liters of water today.

15th day down and 15 to go.
