I just came across these and they made me giggle so I thought you might like 'em too : )

They're genuine signs, newsletter posts and announcements made at, of all places, churches.

Take a look, they're fun : )

Ask The Experts

Hey Guys

I've decided to create a 'one stop shop' where you can ask myself and my team any questions that you've got about health, fitness and fat loss.

ANY questions : )

I've been answering quite a few lately so I'll pop 'em in here to give you an idea of some of the questions I often get asked.

The 7 Rules For Gaining Fat Fast (Ignore Them At You Peril!)

So, you’ve decided to give up.

You’re fed up of all the diets that have promised you great results yet left you hungry, tired, irritable and weak.

You’re fed up of all the ‘wonder workouts’ that have promised you amazing strength, fitness and flexibility ‘in just minutes a day’ but that have left you feeling tired, sore, stiff and, truth be told, no firmer or less flabby than you were before.

But most of all, you’re fed up of all those fitness ‘experts’ out there who tell you how easy it is,… Continue

Here's Why You Should Lick The Sugar Habit

Being the author of a well-known diet program I get a lot of stick from people for some of the advice I give.

Especially when it comes down to asking people to avoid certain foods that they may be attached to. No, scratch that, ADDICTED to.

Chief among the areas for complaint are caffeine and sugar, two of the most highly addictive substances in the human diet and two which, if left unchecked can seriously impact upon your health too.

Today let's look at sugar.

Thanks for the quck response... This was a question for my daughter. she is 31 and has really changed her lifestyle. Yahoo. but her midrif is making her crazy...I will share this info.

As for me....if I would workout I have not doubt that I would continue to lose...I just do not know what trigger I need to pull to make me do things for myself that are really healthy..

I can no longer eat junky food or I am sick as a dog...so staying ED friendly is not that hard...

I do have a question regarding body types and how to lose in specific areas. What do you reccommend when you are female and have a large midriff ( barrell). arms and legs are shaping up but above waist line is just so stubborn.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Dax...I am interested in the look great naked programme. The truth is I am already following another workout programme so I do have a few questions before purchasing:

1, What are the specific equipmment required for this 90 day programme? I have a treadmill, dumbells, stability ball. Would this suffice?
2. How many days a week should the workouts be done and and what is the duration of each session?
3. Would it be possible to incorporate this workout into my present workout regime? I do love those workouts....
4. Are the videos just a demo of the exercises laid out in the handbook. Since I live in a country (Middle East) where it is quite difficult to get fast Internet connections, and viewing the video may not always be possible.

I'm sorry I'm asking you so many questions, but I really need to make sure that I will be able to stick to the programme

Thanks a bunch!:)

Hi Dax, Could I get your say on pure organic Carob powder on the Elimination Diet?
At 3:36pm on January 8, 2009, birigik said…
Hi Dax, what is your stance on plain tinned fish while on the Elimination Diet. I'm taking about mackeral tinned in plain water or Sardines in olive oil (not tuna or large fish due to pollution). Of course some tins are lined with endocrine disruptors, but not all I believe? And does the Elimination Diet venture into that zone (because we's need to get rid of our PVC shower curtains and replace our Ikea sofas on the diet then too). On the three days since joining I stopped with my tinned fish snacks because some one on the forum said it wasn't allowed, but I find my carb intake has gone up dramatically because without protein powder or tinned fish what's a girl on the run going to snack on (larger amounts yoghurt, apples, and nuts can't possibly enhance definition?). No headaches, or anything due to the ED though. Before this I was trying to maintain a basic 30/30/30 approach with no carbs in my 6th meal, and most of my carbs coming from vegetables. Should I maintain this in the Elimination diet while leaving out the stimulants, milk and tinned fish or just let go of for 30 days and eat "naturally". Thanks.

Hi Dax, any recommendations on what I can use for a Post Workout Nutrition drink/snack while on the Elimination Diet? I used to use Biotest Surge or chocolate milk (recommended by Charles Stanley). Thanks.

Dax,
I have not checked in for awhile, mainly because I have been too busy doing my Magic 100. Not all goals will be accomplished, but....many of the items I wanted to get done are now checked off my list. Probably the best advice you have given to date, is " Pay yourself First" I started that immediately and managed to put away $1000.00 over and above 401 K etc... That extra allowed me to go Scuba Diving and I will be starting My Golf lessons this week. A recent Adventure trip for my Birthday ( I turned 58 ), took us to Panama, Costa Rica, and Belize. I saw the the Panama Canal and ships going through the locks, I even went kayaking on the Canal lake. In Belize we went Scuba Diving on the reef. These are just a couple of examples of reaching my goal.

I have continued to stay on the ED Diet for the past 9 months...with exception to the past three weeks...but am confident that I will be able to go back to it in January...and continue the progress of weight loss and better fitness. To date I have lost 37 pounds. Dropped from a women's size 16 to a 10/12. I still workout which means I am not gaining any weight.
All of these accomplishments are a direct result of the "12 Days of Fitness 2007". Your emails kept arriving and by March I was READY finally to take charge of my life. THANK YOU.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season and I will pledge this week for your cause as you participate in your challenge for Make a Wish.

I sincerely hope that 2009 is another successful year for you and yours.
Again Thank you. Margot
