The cocoa powder I use has no additives. One shouldn't confuse cocoa powder and chocolate drink mixes. But the ED doesn't alow any caffeine, full stop.

Hi Dax, this is indeed wat I thought, but I never eat the bars with fat or sugar anyway. Wat I do drink is cocoa after seeing all the research into it's effects (but not on the ED of course). Makes a change from green tea. What do you think of tha...
I am not gluten intolerant, but I've never been a bread eater. However I do feel the needs for oats or similar with my eggs and fruit at breakfast as I'm an athlete. On the ED I stuck to oats, quinoa and amaranth but I notticerd that some packagin...
I think I'm a protein type. Can one get this checked in any way?? I gravitate naturally to nuts and meat/fish pruducts as well as yogurt when I really allow myself to follow my natural cravings with carbs just coming from fruit & veg. My natural d...
I think if everybody ate good natural food, stopped counting calories and never dieted we would solve all the weight problems in the world. I know many women who keep themselves in that dieting mode because they're always trying to eat less than t...
I know, you don't need to sell the benefits of chocolate to me. I firmly believe in a cup (or 2 ) of organic dark cocoa a day. But I had to give it up for the 30-day strict Elinimination diet since I specifically asked on this site and was told th...
I thought it had to be raw ? ta know I think I am doing great any way there are so many things to remember thanks for having my back . Sometimes I think too much . How are you doing on yours?
Hmmm this oat meal thing is crazy , thanks for your comment. I am just going to keep oatmael in my plan I feel funny when I don't have it in the AM. when i don't eat it I get the munchies all day.
I am indeed a Capricorn ....and a pretty typical one at that. I am also the Chinese 'dog' which, strangely is alot like the attributes of a Capricorn also.
Yes, I have it in e-book form. My birthday is on Jan 15th...I will be 50!!!! I have organised a party for myself on the 17th which is why i have started this ED to give myself a little 'headstart' and hopefully be able to zip up my dress with no problems...lol. If you want to send me a privat message with your email I will send you BFFM
Nothing with an e number or unpronounceable name, nothing precooked,
pre-baked or package in any way for ‘long life’.
Only wholesome natural foods like fresh meat, fresh fruit
So, that's what the book says. So I am assuming rice cakes are classed as pre baked. As for tinned tuna, apparently it is something to do with leaching of chemicals from the tins itself.
I read you recent comment on the main page and agree to an extent about the 'bought one thing sold another'. I didn't realise when I decided to embark upon this that would be quite so many restrictions but I suppose you either have to do it...or not. It depends on your reason I think. There seems to be 2 groups of people, The ones who want to do it to lose weight and the ones who want to 'detox' in the purest sense and remove all toxins from their diets. My quandry is, that if things like rice cakes are bad, if I reintroduce them after 30 days to no reaction, will they become good again? I'm not trying to be facetious, it's very confusing. BTW have you come across Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle by Tom Venuto?
I believe the guidelines said anything packaged for "longevity" (I got that the reason for that was that added preservatives) a lot of other packaged things are ok. If we couldn't do any packaged goods we wouldn't be able to eat anything!
I also have a quite scary report about using microwaves. I stopped using mine after I read it. If you would like to see it let me know and I will forward it to you. BTW I am puzzled by the whole tuna thing too. I have been told by someone who has studied the ED as she and her family are trying to control thyroid problems through diet, that tinned tuna in water is ok. Maybe we should wait for Dax to tell us exactly why it's not ok, if infact that is the case. I too am a 'scientist' and can't see that if something only has one ingredient which is normally allowed (like tuna or rice) how it can be bad for you if pre-cooked. Hmmm.... Good luck anyway... :o)
